Well, the long-awaited translation and extensive (I mean expensive)

commentary on Li Shi-Zhen's " An Exposition of the Eight Extraordinary

Vessels " is finally out. Charles Chace, Miki Shima, and Eastland Press have

done an excellent job with this text. I highly recommend it - I can't stop

reading it.

Thanks for the alert Jason. I've looked at the sample and it looks like a book

we certainly want to have in our library.

 

It's a pity, though, that Eastland announces:

Arnoud Versluys published a translation of the text on cm-db.com (Jonathan

Schell's Database), it has been available for a couple of

years.
