Hi All and greetings to the folks I saw and met at the Symposium it is an

honor to be with you. I wish I could have been at the Unschuld discourse. I

found

the week with him on the Salmon River one of the more meaningful experiences

of my professional life. However, I am in Orlando at the Council of Colleges

meetings and then the AAOM conference.

Stuart Watts is here and he is very interested in the construction of a

national faculty body. I see this as an essential component to the maturation of

our profession.

Hitchcock et al. determined that the single most significant determinant for

faculty success is an effective national network. That's right, not the home

network, teaching skills, technical skills, or leadership skills....it is the

national professional network. This list serves that internationally - even

better. But we need a face to face faculty organization. If I am right, Todd

will

provide space at the CHA conference and AAOM will also provide space. We just

have to get there and talk, break bread and create.

Sounds great, Will, I'll be glad to help get the ball rolling. It is

an idea whose time has (finally) come.

It was great to meet you at the Symposium.
