If the technological hurdles can be overcome easily, I think it's a great idea. there is a new JPEG format that is just out that yields much higher resolution but maintains small file size. This would be ideal as photos tend to take up a lot of bandwidth and thus it becomes expensive to maintain such sites. Most large photo sites charge for access. Guest guest Posted June 26, 2002 Report Share Posted June 26, 2002 for tongue photos I have a feeling the digital camera in good light without flash will do pretty well. If using flash, a ring flash is the best, of course (but an expensive item). Two things to consider. A white card pointed at the subject can reflect light into the mouth. Somewhat awkward but effective. Also if you use the little flash on the camera, experiment with taping a thin tissue paper (like lens cleaning paper) over the flash itself which will soften the harshness of the flash.
