The resion I posted the knee surgery placebo post is that I was very surprised to see a placebo surgery study done. I thought they stopped it \.

You thought they stopped it? You´re talking about people who´s knees have been examined via arthroscopy where something was done or nothing was done with the outcome that it really doesn´t make any difference...

I am talking about 35 patients who´s brains were opened by means of brain surgery. Those desperate people in Tampa/Florida were hoping that they belonged to the randomized group which got implanted some fetal tissue in their brains which might help their parkinson´s disease. However if they belonged to the "control group" their brains were opened for nothing but scientific reasons of establishing a control group. You think they stopped it? I wish you were right... But I think you are an optimist
