Guest guest
I am a 45 year old female, married with 2 teenagers (help!). I attended the International College of TCM in Vancouver, B.C. Canada, graduating in 1999 with a DTCM (which in B.C. means Dr. of for now. We are in the process of regulating and licensing TCM in B.C., and the education standards have not been set as of yet. We must all be registered as Dr., Practitioner, Herbalist, or Acupuncturist in the near future, but so far this had been a political nightmare, and the process is SLOW). I am on the executive board of the Traditional Association of B.C. as the Treasurer. This is the only purely TCM association in existence in B.C. and we have been the driving force behind having the profession of TCM recognized as a legal profession. I have a small practice set in a Physiotherapy clinic in the town of White Rock,B.C. I prescribe herbs, do the massage part of Tui Na, body acupuncture, lifestyle counseling, Korean Hand Therapy and Reiki. Being in a physiotherapy based atmosphere brings me many pain patients, plus chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia patients. My treatment style is very gentle. I look forward to learning and sharing in the traditional chinese herbs! Shelley
