I would like to see the actual bill. I would suspect the FDA is trying to rein in labeling claims rather than make herbs available by prescription only. Many powerful republicans have interests in supplement companies, notably Orrin Hatch. So it is unlikely that they would block OTC sales. But if they want to take indications off the labels, I'm all for that. Also, this belongs at CHA, not CMnet, so please continue all discussion on that list. Rule # 1 with SPAMM never respond to those messages that say " if you don't want email from us response to...
