I would like to see the actual bill. I would suspect the FDA is trying to rein in labeling claims rather than make herbs available by prescription only. Many powerful republicans have interests in supplement companies, notably Orrin Hatch. So it is unlikely that they would block OTC sales. But if they want to take indications off the labels, I'm all for that.
