Guest guest
For anyone interested in Korean acupuncture, my friend HB will be teaching Korean 4 needle technique and Meridian Flow - style classes in Berkeley December 4th and 5th. This is the first time this material has been taught in the Bay area. *TITLE* *HB Kim SEMINARS* CA/NCCAOM CEU approved *DATES & LOCATIONS* * AIMC (Berkeley, CA) * 2550 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley CA 94704 Dec 5 : Korean Four Needle Technique (SaAm-Chim) Dec 6 : Korean Meridian Flow Acupuncture (JuHaeng-Chim) *REGISTRATION* *LECTURER:* HB Kim, LAc, PhD *TIME:* 9am – 6pm *CEU/PDA: *8 CEU/PDA credit per day *TUITION:* $125 per day for practitioners / $95 per day for students *REGISTER:* Email: info Web site: http://www.qpuncture.com/ceu/CEU-200912.aspx *COURSE DESCRIPTIONS* *DEC-5: SaAm-Chim (Korean Four Needle Acupuncture Technique)* SaAm-Chim (Korean Four Needle Acupuncture Technique) is an extremely effective technique that is not very well-known by Western acupuncturists. It is also quick, easy and effective for the acupuncturist to use in a high volume clinic or a community acupuncture setting. By studying the theory behind the Four Needle Technique, one can learn the true meaning of the Six energies (Taiyin & Yangming, Shaoyin & Taiyang, Jueyin & Shaoyang). Not only can this be used clinically to treat disease on both the physical and emotional levels, but also to gain an advanced understanding of meridian energies as well. *DEC-6: Korean Meridian Theory Acupuncture* Korean Meridian Theory Acupuncture had been practiced in the ancient Korea royal palace. The treatment was for the King or the King's family, it is very gentle and follow the natural flow of meridian. This theory divides 12 meridians into three circuits (Earth, Heaven, Man) and the treatment will be prescribed accordingly. One will learn channel dynamics instead of point indications. They will also learn order of treatment, order of needling, how to set up the treatment protocol, and how to use special points, i.e, Yuan-source, Luo-connecting, Xi-cleft, Front-mu, Back-shu and Eight confluent points. * * *ABOUT THE TEACHER & FUTURE COURSES* *TEACHER:* H.B. Kim, LAc, PhD, developed a passion for Oriental Medicine in his native country, Korea, and has been practicing in the United States for nearly a decade. Years of following the masters, practicing and teaching have earned him both academic and clinical distinction. He authored the Handbook of Oriental Medicine and Minibook of Oriental Medicine, and has co-authored leading edge acupuncture and Chinese herbology computer software programs with Qpuncture, Inc. His passion is teaching unique Korean style Oriental medicine techniques to the Western trained practitioner and he has successfully taught hundreds of acupuncturists all over the United States. H.B. is teaching a new series of CEU courses (CA/NCCAOM approved), which will enable attendees to learn these highly effective and sophisticated techniques from Korean style Acupuncture and Herbology. H.B. is a dynamic educator and will provide information to take your practice to a higher level of proficiency immediately. *SEMINAR TESTIMONIALS* I took HB's Korean Acupuncture seminar focusing on Yin Yang Balancing (Pyung Chim) and Five Element Harmonizing (Hwa Chim). These were incredibly useful classes that I wish I learned in TCM school as they gave me tools I could use right away in my practice with amazing and immediate results. His handouts were well organized and served as great references when using these systems in the clinic. I have been trying these approaches in my practice for a few months now and I have to say, they are very effective and you see lasting results in very little time. In my clinic, I have found Pyung Chim so effective for clearly defined channel problems such as musculoskeletal issues. Hwa Chim has been really helpful in treating patients with more internal medicine issues. It has really simplied pulse taking to determine which elements are out of balance, and quickly determine an acupuncture treatment plan. I am so glad that HB put together this great information and made it accessible to us in a way that is easy to incorporate in practice. Thanks so much HB! *Susan K, L.Ac.* An exceptional course from an exceptional teacher! If you see patients with any kind of pain condition (though Pyungchim treats more than just pain), you MUST take this course! This technique works fast and is extremely effective. Your will immediately see a difference in your treatment results. By taking this course, you will also greatly benefit from HBs teaching style and vast knowledge about the subject matter and oriental medicine in general. This course will transform you and your practice, and will bring your practice to an entirely different level. *Ron E, L.Ac. * HB's classes in Korean medicine have made a profound impact on my practice. The efficacy of the Pyung-chim Yin-Yang Balancing treatment for pain relief has been clear, direct and immediate. HB organizes material which is usually taught in months into advanced and clear protocols which are taught in intensive weekends. I highly recommend HB's Korean Medicine courses to anyone who wishes to learn effective traditional strategies that were developed based on tenets of the I-Jing and Nan-Jing. Looking forward to the next course! *John K, L.Ac.* I recently took HB's CEU course on Korean acupuncture. It was very inspiring. We learned simple effective treatments designed to restore balance to any patient. Additionally we learned a comparative pulse diagnosis technique that is so specific you may only need one needle for complete remission of symptoms. We learned how to combine this treatment with several other treatment protocols to create a very specific treatment for effective, immediate results. The Great Gate Opening is just one of the truly amazing protocols we learned. I used it the other day. Here are the results: *Sarah M, L.Ac.* HB Kim's class was very enlightening to me. I can tell there is so much work and thought put into all the points and protocols. At the end of the first class I was so overwhelmed with all the new information, and did not think I would be able to implement the material. The information was very impressive to me though, so I tried it out. And patients loved that there are only 4 needles involved, and they still experienced results! The combinations are masterfully put together and very easy to use and I will keep using these techniques. The best part is learning the pulse diagnosis for an acupuncture, not herbal, perspective. Very revealing! I am very excited to attend the next class he teaches in my area! *Teresa S, L.Ac.* HB Kim is an engaging, dedicated, passionate, and articulate teacher. I have taken classes both in Korean acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine, both of which he moves through fluently and effortlessly in explanation and clinical application. Additionally, I appreciate how he elucidates different theories in terms of historical context and development. HB is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend his classes. *Jasmine O, L.Ac.* ------------------------------ If you’d like HB Kim’s CEU classes to be offered in your area, please contact Qpuncture, Inc.
