Guest guest
Hi, anyone have a topical formula recipe / ointment for scabies? Thanks, K -- www.tcmreview.com
Guest guest
Blue Poppy's 'Stop Itching Tincture' and Yin care seem to work well in mild cases. However, serious cases may need the pharmaceutical creams, it is a very stubborn and contagious condition. Internal medicine should be prescribed as well based on pattern. Guest guest
Hello K Topical Neem oil (ayurvedic) is a very effective acaricidal, provided that daily washing of personal and bed clothing is properly done. Guest guest
Thank you Zev and Clarissa. Does the neem oil have to be diluted for topical application? Do you add a carrier oil? Guest guest
Hi K, Sorry for haven´t answered before. Neem: For scabies, good results if diluted 10 to 20%, in grape seed oil, but any vegetable oil is fine. Sorry I don´t have any reference. Guest guest
Tea tree oil is universal, but I agree that if the case is amything more than mild they should use the rx cream and be done with it, or they risk spreading it to others.
