Guest guest
Hi, I'm looking for a formula recommendation for a patient who has just had surgery to remove cervical cancer, a D & C and multiple biopsies of her uterus....She is now cancer free but has been bleeding/floooding, a week post op. I'd like to tonify qi and blood and gently stop bleeding (she needs to dispel some blood as there are chemicals and " packing " materials that should come out, but excessive bleeding is pathological. Does anyone have a formula rec? Any insight much appreciated. Karen
Guest guest
How about Yun Nan Bai Yao capsules, add tonic/nourishing/adaptogenic herbs as appropriate. Guest guest
I also advocate starting her on yunan baiyao, at package approved dosage. Hard to reach internal bleeding is its shining characteristic. And at normal dosage, any degradable sutures and such, won't be compromised. But pls more expert opinion here is welcome. --- On Tue, 9/8/09, Edith Chan, L.Ac. <chineseherbs wrote: Edith Chan, L.Ac. <chineseherbs Re: Post surgical uterine bleeding Chinese Medicine Tuesday, September 8, 2009, 12:52 PM How about Yun Nan Bai Yao capsules, add tonic/nourishing/ adaptogenic herbs as appropriate.
