herbal ant repellant -a bit on Cinnamon

Someone at the EthnoBotany list asked if it

was true that cinnamon could be used as fungicide.

 

The discussion ended up talking about insects.

Being non-violent, I try to deal

with insects as nicely as possible. I

have found that cayenne, cloves, and

cinnamon are all deterrents.

 

For instance, when carpenter ants were

coming up my heat registers, I asked my

housekeeper to spray around the top with

a simple clove water mixture. She

went home and told her husband.

He had a good laugh until the next time

she came and there were no insects.
