Herb Of The Month - Cinnamon

Before Chris gets a chance to post on this aspect.

 

If your blood sugar (glucose) is a bit screwy, unscrew it by adding about

1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon to your daily vittles. (See Butch for the

definition of 'vittles'.)

Even though its really nice and warm here in south eastern Texas (in the

70's) ... most of the folks in the northern hemisphere aren't feeling

quite as toasty this time of year. Well, in cold times, it helps to

think warm. Keeping that in mind, this month's herb is a warming one -

Cinnamon ( Cinnamomum zeylanicum ).

 

I will post various info about this wonderful herb all month, and I hope

that anyone who has any personal experience with it will not hesitate to

post about it too :-D

I also had a fibromyalgia customer once

who told me she used cinnamon as pain killer.

I am pretty sure she used a tablespoon at the time,

in water.

Sorry, lost touch and cannot check this.
