Guest guest
Let me add to it: In Germany, we melt lead pieces in a spoon over a flame and than pour them in cold water. The resulting odd shapes can be interpreted as to what you think they might signify. Also, firework are set off and on New years day the donuts are eaten. The Ojibway people here for solstice clean out the fire pit, to start a new fire with the new light for the coming year. It already has been a New Year in Australia and I know my little cousin saw the fireworks there across from the Opera house. Ein froehliches neues Jahr wuenscht C-M PS. My custom since childhood had been to make a snow angel when there was fresh snow and my son and Dil promised to drag me out to make one Than we send the angel around the world to spread cheer, good will and Peace to all...
