Guest guest
Our December snow melted too (just in time for xmas. grrr) but we just got the tail end of a " Pineapple Express " being pushed through by a new cold front (the forefront of the Pineapple Express is most likely what melted everyone's snow in the first place) and it blessedly dumped 4 feet of snow onto Mt. Bachelor and about 4-6 inches in town (Bend, OR). That storm with the cold front on its tail should be making its way across the US -- hopefully the rest of winter will stay nice and cold and snowy with this year's Pineapple Express out of the way (and hopefully there's just one this year!! keeping fingers crossed and doing snow dances) Went snowboarding yesterday and it was really nice to see winter come back (except for the holiday tourists who feel it necessary to drive down the *middle of the road* at 10mph). Since the snow report said there was only 4 " of new snow, my husband & I took a detour through the trees and got stuck in snow up to our chests!!!! After swimming out of 4 feet of powder, getting heckled by everyone on the lift, yesterday, I can reasonably assure everyone that winter has started up again and should be heading your way! ~Bonnie - " paula coon " <paulacoon Friday, December 30, 2005 11:48 AM Re: :)/Snow? It's 43* in this corner of lower Michigan. About 98% of the snow is gone and there's a misty sort of rain coming down. Supposed to turn to snow during the night and have 1-3 inches on the ground by morning. Ridiculous isn't the word for it Paula .......... in Michigan I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away Here in Downeast Maine, right by the bay the rain has washed away the snow.....today it is 42 degrees....ridiculous....:<)...
