Dr. Michael Weiner, Operations Director at Behaviorial Health of Palm

Beaches where I'm Spiritual Advisor to their treatment center was

commenting on my Christmas Newsletter and he said " I really enjoyed

what you said about being led by a child. " Let's face it, Leo if the

governments of the world were run by children, we couldn't be in a

bigger mess. (Laughing) I think children would make better leaders.

(Laughing). " Yes " I said (Laughing).

 

But is it true? No. But in a way it's true. Remember when Saladdin was

referring to Jerusalem in the movie Kingdom of Heaven: Jerusalem is

nothing; Jerusalem is everything.

 

" Sometimes we need to shock in order to discover the truth " - Lenny

Bruce.

 

I believe that the qualities I spoke about in children can be achieved

and maintained in adulthood, but as Confucius said above we need to be

prepared to work on ourselves. So, let us play with the concept of

paradox in our wish list for 2006.

 

* We need to seek pleasure in everything...and yet be possessed by

nothing.

 

* We need to enjoy the food we eat...and yet eat healthily!

 

* Revere the God of our understanding...and respect the God of our

neighbor.

 

* Declare what we know...and then patiently wait to be educated.

 

* Detest war...and know that occasionally war brings peace.

 

* Respect the opposite sex...knowning that you are respecting

yourself.

 

* Try to do better in 2006...but know you did your best in 2005.

 

* I am the child who became the man who is seeking the child!
