Guest guest
Hi Tammy, > Hello Everyone! My dad has just come to me and has what we think is > shingles. I was wondering if any of you know of essential oils that can help > heal the pain & discomfort. He's using our Dead Sea Mud to keep the itching > subsided; however, the internal pain is something the mud can't help with, > unfortunately! I have numerous essential oils in stock, just not sure what > we should blend & apply topically that will be properly absorbed into the > blood stream. Please email me off list if you know of anything we can try. First off .. he should get a proper diagnosis from the medical folks. For sure shingles are painful and there are potential problems if left untreated. There's them that say True Ravensara (Ravensara aromatica) works well .. no more than 5% in a carrier like Jojoba or Fractionated Coconut. I know of one case that was relieved by that combination. I wouldn't use a hot compress (which folks often use with shingles) cause it would assist absorption and I wouldn't want deep absorption of some of the chemicals .. heat can assist those chemical to absorb that our skin would normally reject in deep tissue. This is not a recommendation as I'm not a medical folk. But I would use it on myself. ;-) A little PS on that .. the US Veterans Administration has perfected what appears to be a very effective treatment for shingles .. its still under investigation but it looks like shingles might become history in the near future. > I pray all of you have a very Blessed New Year! Thankee .. and to you and yours. > God Bless, > Tammy D. > The Mud QueenTM And y'all .. keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
