Merry Christmas

I just am getting caught up on some of the lists and came across this

thread today. I wanted to add my 2 cents. I got attacked on a list

last year by a buddist for wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. I get

really tired of people telling me what I can say and what I cant say. I

get tired of the government and other people telling us we cant pray in

schools we cant say this or we cant say that etc etc because it might

offend someone and now they are trying to take the tree and every other

thing out of Christmas just like they have taken G-d out of schools and

many other parts of society. WHEN is it going to end. This is the USA

and CANADA!!! How much further do we have to go? Until our own culture

has vanished to please others? I have no problem with people

celebrating their own beliefs and being true to their culture so WHY do

so many people have to try and destroy mine? If it were the other way

around do you think that the same would be happening in other countries?

Not likely. If you dont like it when I say Merry Christmas to you

then go about your business and forget about it, there are alot worse

things people could be saying and doing, than that!

in Isreal, but thats not important.

 

What IS important is that i can choose to either except or reject

 

any greeting that i find offenive, and Happy holiday, seasons

 

greetings ETC ETC i DO find to be offencive, i celebrate CHRISTMAS,

 

like it OR not im NOT telling anyone to NOT do thier own thing, i

 

want in god we trust on our money, in our schools, and YES school

 

prayer is important too HOWEVER if you wish NOT to pray etc just

 

keep still BUT DONT TELL ME & MY children not to, its not disrespect

 

for anothers beliefs ITS them disrespecting mine and if you wish to

 

have just seasons greeting in your place of business? THATS GREAT

 

just know that i and many others will not buy in your store, if you

 

dont think that Merry Christmas should be displayed? thats great,

 

and all my money also says IN GOD we trust so id not step on your

 

toes by useing anything with something on it that upsets you,what

 

was missing in your letter was RESPECTING my beliefs, MY way of

 

being,and i see your reasoning as WAY out of wack
