Guest guest
Recently I was given an old book about the story of Rene Caisse and the herbal medicine called Essiac. I question if the stories were true. Does anyone have any personal experiences with this combination of herbs? Any information you have would help me make a decision on the usage of this mixture. I know if I can find out about it, it would be with this group of wonderful healers. Thanks Barbara

Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I worked in the Natural Products Industry for years. Several of those in retail management. I haven't personally used Essiac, however I've heard countless " testimonials " from customers throughout the years. It's excellent and I highly recommend it. All the best, Michelle

As I was catching up on the subjects here I was thinking that this might be something that the lady with the husband who has a tumour could look into as well. I have no experience with this herbal remedy but it sure got a lot of praises. Merry Christmas everyon and hope your New Year starts off wonderful. Guest guest
Native American Herb Tea aka Essiac is best when home brewed, long method. I've been using it since about 1992. I Always add some fresh stuff to the pot. mjh Thu, 29 Dec 2005 03:12:41 -0000 " sewingstorms " <sewingstorms Re: Question on Essiac > I haven't personally used Essiac, however I've heard > countless " testimonials " from customers throughout the years. > > It's excellent and I highly recommend it. > > Thank you to all that replied. Guest guest
I think of Essiac as being more of a detoxifier and a tonic and endocrine balancer rather than a immunity builder. Burdock root, sheep sorrel, slipper elm and Turkey rhubarb root are the primary herbs. I usually also add fresh dandelion and nettles. mjh Thu, 29 Dec 2005 15:44:48 -0000 " Michelle " <michelle Re: Question on Essiac Hi Barbara, Well, of course we don't ever diagnose, prescribe or interfere with a licensed medical doctor. Having said that... Essiac is excellent for immunity building and seems to be especially helpful for those with malignancies. Again, I've heard amazing stories. I managed a health food store close to a hospital in CA. Even " mainstream " doctors were sending patients over for Essiac, which really caught my attention. However, as with any herb, if prescribed medications are also used, people should always check for contraindications first.
