Christmas: Shoving ANY 1 Choice Down our Throats..to be 'Correct'

Hey Joshua .. other good folks ..

 

First .. I'll say that I think the subject (above) is totally out of

line! Nobody has tried to shove anything on anyone! I think the person

who posted this was maybe a bit emotional at the time .. which is not a

slam cause we human critters can be that way from time to time. ;-)

 

Secondly .. I'll say that the members of this list .. or any other

alternative or complementary treatment list .. do NOT represent a true

cross section of the United States because the majority of the folks in

the USA are not seeking alternatives from established norms, nor do they

buy a lot of the spiritual hoo doo that many try to tack onto the simple

issue of chemistry .. which is what use of EO is all about. I do not

deal in spiritualism .. I deal in the chemistry of natural products.

I'll give my opinion on this. Christians are NOT persecuted in the

United States .. but public display of Christian holidays is becoming

NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT .. and OFTEN RESTRICTED !!!!!!!!!!!

 

This is NOT based on any law passed by the legislative body .. it is

based on interpretations by judges .. and we see on a daily basis that

this or that court decision is overturned by higher court decisions.

Does anyone on this list believe that the average judge is any more

righteous in his/her analysis of right and wrong than you are yourself?

Do you really think that they can set aside their own personal beliefs

and regurgitate interpretation of the intent of laws as if they were a

robot spitting out an analysis of data that has been input into a hard

drive? If you believe this then you've been mesmerized by Big Brother!

 

I have made it DAMN CLEAR that I am NOT a Christian but maybe I need to

make it DAMN CLEARER that I think Political Correctness is phony Bovine

Excrement that sucks from the git go and I grow tired of watching some

folks use Christianity as a negative label for Conservatives!

 

I have made it DAMN CLEAR that my past life was deeply involved with

Christianity (Suthran Fried Baptist), Buddhism, Islam, the Native

American Path and now with a different form of Christianity .. Russian

Orthodox, which is about as close to Catholicism as we can get. I have

respect for all of them .. and a helluva lot of disrespect for any of

the activists or extremists in any of them. But nobody publicly dumps

on any of the other groups though they feel comfortable dumping on the

Christians.

 

No judge or elected official will make a move to restrict or reduce the

economic value of Christmas .. or any other holiday like Valentines Day,

Mothers Day, etc., but they will pander to those they see as being their

constituents even if the intent of the Constitution be damned and even

if the moral training of and examples for young people be damned!

 

With a few exceptions, all organized religions have basically very sound

morale values as a base foundation .. this is not restricted to only the

monotheistic religions. The United States Armed Forces (long the leader

and the Advance Guard for social change) has commissioned chaplains from

many religions .. and American soldiers from most religions have total

freedom to practice as they see fit .. there are no restrictions and

military how to run their business.

 

But to set the record straight, those " other " religions were not given

the slightest bit of consideration by the Founding Fathers, so when

folks discuss the so-called issue of separation of church and state they

need to do a bit more homework. If there did exist such a cut and dry

requirement in the United States Constitution then there could legally

be no restrictions on the practice (publicly or otherwise) of ANY

religion. And if the Congress were to pass such a restriction .. then

the lower courts would be bound to overrule them! And if lower courts

did not do that .. then the Supreme Court would be bound to overrule.

 

America could not have .. would not have .. been a successful experiment

if the Founding Fathers had been as liberal in their attitudes as are

the so called Progressives of today!

 

I condemn no religion that teaches peace and tolerance .. I do condemn

MTV .. I do condemn NO public display of ANY religion. I do condemn

allowing weirdo groups to collect money at intersections on interstate

highway exits in the USA .. I do condemn ideas that promote lack of

moral standards as being progressive .. and do I condemn people who tell

it like they think others want to hear it .. be it for business reasons

or because they do not have the guts to stand up for what they truly

believe in from the git go!

 

Nobody on this list or anywhere else has the guts to condemn the public

expression of ANY religious holiday except that of the Christians. If

they did so they would risk being branded as racist or intolerant. But

to dump on the majority is safe because its currently IN VOGUE to be a

persecuted minority. It might be a norm to dump on the majority .. but

the norm is not always right! My opinion for now .. but I am certainly

not finished .. this is all I care to write tonight.

 

I will say that the whole issue has more to do with political leaning

than it does history .. or right or wrong! There is little TRUTH in

politics today though there was a time when it was considered to be an

honorable calling. Likewise, there is a heckuva lot less understanding

than there is understanding about the intent of the Founding Fathers ..

those who think differently should begin now to research their American

history .. particularly the misunderstanding about separation of church

and state.

 

Oh yea .. we'll be slitting the throats of animals here beginning on 10

January .. and I expect some folks will wanna join in and wish the

people in my area and yours Happy Throat Slitting! ;-)

PS 1: I will send Kurban Bayram (Sacrifice Holiday) greetings to all my

Turkish friends .. just as MANY of them sent us e-mails and cards and

made phone calls wishing us a MERRY CHRISTMAS. So .. y'all who want to

get it completely right should be sure to send this greeting to your

Moslem friends on the 10th of January. If you choose to not send it to

those you know who are Militant Islamists .. that's OK because there is

a HELLUVA BIG DIFFERENCE twixt the two! ;-) One MINOR difference is

that many of the modern thinking Moslems considered Kurban Bayram as

being a barbaric holiday .. and the Militant Islamists consider NOT

cutting the throats of non-Islamists as being an insult to Allah. And

moderate Moslems think the Militant Islamists are backward idiots! ;-)

 

PS 2: Often those who holler the loudest about being tolerant are the

most intolerant folks around. Its like some who loudly proclaim their

virtue .. then its maybe best to keep our hands on our wallets.
