Guest guest
Hi Janet, Take an onion and roast it in the oven, then wrap it in a towel and hold to the affected it ear - its kinda acts as a poultice, and is very soothing. Mullein infused in a carrier oil, is the best thing Ive ever come across to apply topically mary Well, Naturally http://www.wellnaturally - Gayla Roberts Sunday, December 25, 2005 5:24 PM Re: Ear Ache Help A few drops of warm olive oil in the ear usually helps. Guest guest
> Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do for an ear ache? My chiropractor suggests a few drops of a 1:1 vinegar & water solution in the ear a few times a day when my little ones are showing signs of ear 'distress'. Guest guest
I have used with my oldest kid and myself- Garlic olive Oil and I would put 3 drops in the ear (after it cools) when a cotton ball. It works every time. and the Drs said it cleared his ear infections right up. -Sarah > - > " Janet Matherly " <meadowyck > > Sunday, December 25, 2005 4:35 PM > Ear Ache Help > > > > Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do for an ear ache? > > > > I'm on digest so if you would mind posting to me off list at my reg > > e-mail. > > thanks so much and DH thanks you. > > > > Blessings to you, > > Janet > >><((((º>·´¯`·:.· ><((((º>¸¸.·´¯`><((((º> > > Meadowyck, Artistic Body Essentials
Guest guest
Years ago, when my daughters were small (wasn't that just a couple of years ago?), my medical doctor told me that a 1:1 ratio of rubbing alcohol and white vinegar would work, and it did! Three or four drops in each ear after swimming, showering, bathing and washing their hair would really cut down on the ear infections my girls would get. The vinegar reduces the surface tension of the water in the ears so it would evaporate easier and faster, and the rubbing alcohol kills the germies. It really worked for me! It didn't eliminate all of the infections, but it cut them down by about 80 percent, which was wonderful!!! No scraming children at 2:00 in the morning! Guest guest
This is a wonderful remedy. The first herbalist I studied under spoke of it. Just be sure if you are using it on a child that the onion is not too hot. The first time she tried it she actually burned her daughter's ear as she didn't realize how hot the onion had become. She thought the child was fussing from the ear ache, not the overhot onion. Test temperature. Ear ache was cure - lavender took care of too hot skin. Just a FYI. I will always remember this story.
