Guest guest
Hi Folks, I get lots of folks asking me on a regular basis - how do I access the list's archives, so here is the answer, and I'm putting it in a monthly posted file for easy reference :-D There are a few ways this can be done ... Go to the group's home page: http://health./ About 2/3 of the way down the screen, under the most recent message previews, there is an area called: Message History, and within that area is a Search Messages box. In that box you can type any keyword you are searching for and then click the " go " button. The initial search will comb through the last 300 messages posted to the group. If you want to search further back in the archives scroll down the results page and you'll see a button that says " Search More " . Click that and it'll take you through a couple hundred more messages. You can repeat this process until you have gone all the way back to the beginning of the list's archives. Another way to search the group messages is to once again go to the group's home page: http://health./ Again, about 2/3 of the way down the screen, under the most recent message previews, there is an area called: Message History. Located below the Search Messages box is what looks like a calendar of sorts. It shows all the months the group has been in existence and there is a number link for each month. That is the amount of posts from each month, and you can just click on that number and be brought to that month's posts. Yet another way to search the group messages is to go to the group's messages page: http://health./messages Once you are in there, towards the top of the screen is a search box that uses keywords, like the search message box on the home page does, or there is a message number search box, where you can fill in the message number if you have it and that is the message that will be retrieved. You can also simply use the " previous " and " next " links in the upper right hand corner, under the search box. They will take you back and forward through the archives a page at a time. Happy archive reading! Happy Holidays - whichever ones you are celebrating (and if you're not into celebrating any holidays - then just have a nice week anyway *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com <http://www.alittleolfactory.com/>
