Guest guest
Hi folks, We talk a lot about acne, bruises, and mature skin... What about diabetics? Someone very close to me has some classic symptoms from his diabetes... His legs have poor circulation, and the skin seems... easily damaged. And very dry, which sometimes results in cracking. If he uses lotion regularly, that does help. Are there any herbs that might be useful topically (infused in oil or such), essential oils, etc. Anyone worked with this? -Josh
Guest guest
Using herbs on the soles of his feet that help circulation might be beneficial. Some to try are ginger, peppermint, cayenne. Any of them infused in olive oil can be used. Gayla Roberts Always Enough Ranch Acampo, California Any advice I appear to give is only what I would do to my animals. Follow at your own discretion. Guest guest
Josh Butcher's broom, Horsechestnut and ginger all improve microcirculation in the extremities. Use both inside and outside. Hope this helps mjh In a message dated 12/20/2005 5:04:27 PM Eastern Standard Time, writes: Mon, 19 Dec 2005 23:35:00 -0500 <listservs diabetic skin (feet, legs) Hi folks, We talk a lot about acne, bruises, and mature skin... Guest guest
Thanks folks. Any ideas for the health of the skin itself? Especially when there are cuts/scrapes/etc. I'm assuming self-heal, possibly sage, echinacea... but not too sure. -Josh > > > > Josh > > Butcher's broom, Horsechestnut and ginger all improve microcirculation in > the extremities. Guest guest
MJH< I'm going to show my ignorance here, but how would you use these herbs on the outside? I've seen these herbs in capsule form, but not infused, in tinctures, or liquid form. Also, I'm aware that ginger can be troublesome to the stomach (a home made tea or capsules and sensitive stomach)if taken internally. Guest guest
I'll probably infuse them in almond oil and then use that to make a foot soak. >I'm going to show my ignorance here, but how would you use these herbs >on the outside?
