Guest guest
Hello and happy holiday season to all! With that, of course, in NJ comes ice and snow. Right now, ice. So....look up " spaz " in the dictionary, and there's a pic of me. Yep - instant spaz, just add ice. I fell a few days ago on the ice. As luck would have it, I've got a bit of padding, so nothing more than a little bruise. A few days later I fell again - guess what? Big surprise - the bruise gets bigger! Now today I just fell yet again, yep - you guessed it - on the exact same bruise! Oh, I guess I should mention where it is - right below my knee - nowhere near the joint, so I guess you could call it the shin. So.....anyone got any remedies for bruising? I'm thinking that right about now it's just a magnet for more patches of ice. Thanks! Cindy
Guest guest
I use rice bran or olive oil infused with lavender, chamomile, plantain, and comfrey with a little vit. E added. HTH Paula .......... in Michigan I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away Hello and happy holiday season to all! With that, of course, in NJ comes ice and snow. Right now, ice. Guest guest
Cindy, My husband fell on the ice a few weeks ago and I put calendula petals soaked in water and squeezed out. Put the petals on the bruise and cover with gauze or something like that and leave for 2 or 3 hours. The bruise will be gone and the soreness with it. He laughed when I told him what I was going to do for his bruise, but he's not laughing anymore. His bruise went clear across one buttocks and onto the other. Hope this helps, Phyllis > > > Hello and happy holiday season to all! > > With that, of course, in NJ comes ice and snow. Right now, ice. Guest guest
That's the one I forgot ! Calendula !! This Santa is a bit stressed and forgetful right now. Three of my grand daughters have their hearts set on Santa bringing them a Doodle Bear. Every store and web site I've been to and my daughter has been to are all sold out !!! Managed to get 2 on EBay and since they are sisters, all 3 bears have to be a different color. Bidding on a blue one right now and it looks like I'm going to have to fight to the last minute for it or hurry up and find another one ! Only 2 more gifts after these bears and I'm done shopping. Now to finish the baking. Guest guest
If you also have some swelling with that bruise, bromelain (a derivative from pineapple, taken orally) and arnica montana (applied topically or as a homeopathic remedy) can be helpful. I recently had a severe auto accident with much bruising and swelling, and I found these to be invaluable.
