OT: Let Them Not Be Forgotten At Christmas (Or Any Other Time)

My pleasure it was and glad you liked it. :-)

I was at my favorite Pub last Thursday night .. I now only go there two

evenings a week while my wife is in English language class. ;-)

While I was there three young GIs were sucking suds at a corner table ..

they were on Temporary Duty (90 days) from Ft. Bragg, NC. One of them

was playing a tape from home on a small cassette player. I knew they

were GIs and most likely Paratroopers or Rangers due to their short hair

cuts .. and knew where the tape was from cause I sat down with them for

an hour or so and bought'em a couple of beers.

The point is .. that tape was grand enough to that young feller that he

was sharing it with his buddies. Had recordings on it from his parents,

grandparents, younger sister and his girlfriend. It was the grandest

Christmas gift he was gonna get. :-)

They'll all eat good this Christmas .. matters not where they are you

can bet that Uncle Sugar will lay it on with style .. but eating good

away from home is mo betta when you have a little bitta home with you.
