Likely they shortened it .. likely it is Phenyl ethyl alcohol (2-PEA).

Naturally found at a low percentage in distilled Rose Otto and at a much

higher percentage in solvent extracted Rose Absolute and it naturally

has an odor similar to Roses, its the most common adulterant used by the

unscrupulous when stretching Rose Otto.

You are perzackly rite .. the alcohol distilled from grain for human

consumption is Ethyl Alcohol (Ethanol). And that is the ONLY alcohol

safe to drink .. ain't a week passes I don't read about a buncha folks

in some Third World country dying from home made drinks containing

Methyl Alcohol (Methanol) .. its toxic and if it don't kill it makes

them blind and causes brain damage.

Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com

Who .. by the way .. is having some fine Ethyl Alcohol rite now. Two

purty Russian lady friends of my wife showed up (surprise) an hour or so

ago with some smoked bacon and smoked herring they purchased in Russia.

Tanya is putting together soup and this and that Russian side dish and

me and the purty ladies are having a toddy or two of Malibu and Orange

Juice. Finer'n frog hair split 3 ways it is. ;-)
