Guest guest
Hi J, > How do ya'll handle overseas wholesale orders? This > one is from an apparent " real " company in New Zealand. Credit Cards or Pay Pal if they are from a country that Pay Pal accepts. I have a laundry list of those countries. > I'm a little concerned about accepting a credit card > from anyone overseas. I'm not. I have customers in 71 countries outside the USA .. at least half of my wholesale business is international and many of them have been regular customers since I opened shop for wholesale and retail in 1999. To date, I have never been shafted on a CC by an international customer. In fact, I've only been shafted two times since 1995 .. one was a medical doctor in San Juan, Puerto Rico .. but that was on a contract for salted, roasted and packaged sunflower seeds, and the other was a medical doctor in Buffalo Grove, IL .. on production of essential oils. ;-) Good it is that Nigeria is in the subject line. NOBODY should EVER do business in Nigeria. Back when I was doing commodities I received an irrevocable, confirmed Letter Of Credit from a bank in Nigeria .. but it was a non-existent bank. ;-) From time to time folks will get a post from someone who writes lousy English .. claiming to be John Whatever in San Francisco or London or wherever and they ask if you ship to Nigeria .. how you ship .. and do you accept credit cards. They don't even know what you're selling. If you get involved with them you are gonna lose money through a wide range of schemes. > Would you send a Paypal invoice perhaps? I don't even send Pay Pal invoices to my American customers .. one of the options is paying via Pay Pal .. if that's their choice I tell them how much to send to AnatolianTreasures .. it always works. > How do you handle shipping? and invoicing for shipping? I give my international buyers a choice .. they select the method. As for invoicing .. its no different than invoicing a US Customer .. you just have to fill out some small customs forms. For example .. today I sent this option to a buyer in Hong Kong: Below are the shipping options for your order. Please advise which service you would like us to use to ship your order. Economy Surface Parcel Post (4-6 Weeks): $38.50 This cannot be tracked. Airmail Parcel Post (4-10 Days): $78.10 This option cannot be tracked until 60 days following shipment. Global Express Mail ( 3-5 Days): $82.20 This option can be tracked at any time. Though Global Express is a bit more costly than Airmail Parcel Post it is also the fastest and most efficient system. > ANY info appreciated! Welcome you are. > ~J~ Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
