Well, I knew I was trying to come downwith SOMETHING... I thought a cold, as

USUALLY, I catch only a few colds... this SOB sucks! I'm assuming I have a

fever as I haven't been able to get warm for hours (although the Woobey with

Eucalypt. Smithii helped to warm up me face and open me sinus'), woke up

with my head feeling like a bowling ball, leg aches, NO appetite (not

throwing up either, thank GOODNESS!) and worst of all, this sucker went

straight into the lungs. I mean you got your bubbling and whistling and even

at times, difficulty with breathing (not bad enough to quack it, just

struggle a little, like an asthma attack, a small one).

" Himself " got it at the same time. Of course he's MUCH sicker than I am and

needed to go to bed as soon as he got home... I've been saying all day " Let

me die now " ... I've changed me song, now it's, " before I die, he's going

FIRST! "

LOL!

Off to bed, 2nd does of flu meds are starting to kick in... and by the by,

if anyone has a good suggestiion for OTC flu garbage, please pass it on...

without them and with the FIVE kids, I need the help... Sleep well all.

I don't usually get flu with all my first line defenses. My 'mune system was a

bit low from a celebration of my friends land being paid off ;~) But 3 weeks ago

something kicked me so bad that all the oregano oil in the world didn't keep it

away. Not all my other great natural remedies, either. I used the OTC

homeopathic Head On roll on for the head ache (works great). Did take some

aspirin with codine and natural cough syrups with decongestant. Vicks vapo rub

helped a lot. Nebulize eucalyptus and some other good oils. What is a good

remedy for the torn muscles under my ribs from coughing? This dang thing still

has me moving slowly three weeks later.

Here is what I would do If I were you....first...

Have a bath with 1 cup of Epsom salts mixed with

3 drops Eucalyptus radiata,

4 drops Lavender

3 drops Niaouli

a couple of drops of Marjoram or Rosewood would be fine too.

add the mixture to a drawn bath and lay back at relax in a steamy

relaxing blend and breathe.

Drink lot's and lot's of pure water and warm herbal teas with lemon and

a little raw honey after the bath.

Eat garlic (I'd chop up a clove and swallow w/ out chewing w/ water) I

also like a Ginger & Garlic syrup.

Rest, rest, rest....

You can massage your ribs and back with a blend of Marjoram, Lavender,

Rosewood & Eucalyptus radiata

in a carrier oil like jojoba after the bath (10 drops to an ounce is

fine) or something helpful for the ribs would be Marjoram, Lavender,

and Roman or German Chamomile and Helichrysum italicum with a little

St. John's Wort in the carrier oil. Back and front of your body.

Drink more water....drink more tea....some broth.....

and REST ;-)

Take care-

Elizabeth
