Guest guest
I dont know if anyone else has noticed this in personally, but I have noticed that as I grow older, my eyes get dark circles around them... Besides makeup and yucky chemicals that the make up companies use for this sort of thing, does any one else have any ideas for this? I dont think it is liver/kidney related since I often take dandelion root tincture. I feel it has really shown up as I have grown older. Guest guest
, I have noticed several changes on my skin and under my eyes also. I have been told through the years that dark circles under the eyes is a liver sign and can't help believe that One of the main causes at least for me is the liver. about a year after my daughter was killed I noticed almost over night it seemed that these liver spots were all over. I always swore I would never get those with my healthy way of life. but hmmm maybe grief has a role in the depletion of oxygen and toxins in my liver. I had accomplished doing two liver flushes and each time I am amazed at the results and the small changes I have noticed, for one the liver spots have started to disappear. My N.D. that I go to tells me she has her clients do liver flushes twice a year unless there is a cancer involved then it is every month. I feel it won't hurt any way to cleanse my old liver. I have abused it a " little " charli

Guest guest
, Sarah, I Used Hulda Clarke flush just because it seemed to work without to much fuss and this is the one my N.D. recommended. I start at 2:30 in the afternoon and end it the next morning it sounds worse than it really is. I was amazed at all the stones that came out without any pain. The first time I did it I got a lot of cholestrol crystals out and the second some penny size gall stones. The olive oil was actaully not bad with the grapefruit. I am going to do another one this week sometime. Here is the info I found to send to you on it. This may sound gross, but I am a true believer I want all of this garbage out of me. YOu can email if you have any questions not that I am an authority at all. Just a person that has been interested in health for 32 years. Let me know if you decide to do it. I love to hear about it. charli http://www.asktom-naturally.com/cleanse.html http://www.drhuldaclark.org/therapy_liver.asp > > > > At 12:46 PM 12/5/2005, you wrote: > http://www.asktom-naturally.com/cleanse.html > > , > >I have noticed several changes on my skin and under my eyes also. Guest guest
Dark circles can be from a number of easily-remedied sources: Lack of sleep -- well, get a good night's rest -- for a week or more. No disturbances while you sleep, no radio, pets jumping around, etc. 8 hours, for one week. See if that helps. Lack of B vitamins. I like Source of Life multis. If it's the B deficiency, you'll see a normal color return in under an hour. Kidney problems. Dark circles accompanied by swelling, usually. Nothing to do with liver, liver herbs won't help. Staining from eye makeup. So simple, so obvious, it's often overlooked. There's a model on Tv, in her 40's, who often talks about how she's permanently stained her eyelids and undereye area by not removing the stuff completely over the years. Heredity, thinning skin. Our skin does thin under our eyes with age. Ask your derm about some new creams for this. My undereye area looks slightly darker as the skin has thinned and sunk in a bit, so light gets reflected differently. Cover Girl TruBlend powder foundation and others have new light-reflecting molecules in it that really help lighten the area. Hate to say this to a believer, but Hulda Clark has been debunked as a real quack. Just do a google. No way you could pass stones without tremendous, horrific pain. No way. Also, it takes a long, long time, with diet and herbs to help 'cleanse' the liver. http://naturalperfumery.com The premier site on the Web to discover the beauty of Natural Perfume Join to study natural perfumery " The Age of the Foodie is passé. Guest guest
actually You can't really say there is no way until you have tried it yourself which I have had and did get the results I have stated and know quiet a few others with the same results. Chemically when you use the epsom salt water it opens your valve and there is no pain and yes there would be pain if it was closed. Hulda Clarke is a little over the edge on somethings but if you read her studies with an open mind you will see that she is right on with some things as all of us are. I have had googled and read the articles but I also looked up the source which it came from. when ever you find someone that is getting results you always find someone else trying to say something bad. I am new to toiletries but not to healing and diet. I choose to be humble. and not judge. Isn't this group here to share?

Sorry you skipped over all the lowkey, easy-to-fix recommendations I made for the dark cicles and got defensive on the liver flush I debunk. I always choose the gentle path first, not believing in the need to purge as a cure-all. Chemically when you use > the epsom salt water it opens your valve and there is no pain and yes > there would be pain if it was closed. No, it doesn't. The valve is very tiny. Stays tiny, no matter what. You doctor can explain this to you, if you ask. Hulda Clarke is a little over > the edge on somethings but if you read her studies with an open mind > you will see that she is right on with some things as all of us are. I didn't comment on any of her other assertions, only the liver flush. I didn't comment on her jail time, convictions, etc. That is public record. I > have had googled and read the articles but I also looked up the source > which it came from. when ever you find someone that is getting > results you always find someone else trying to say something bad. I haven't found that, but maybe you and I are looking at it differently. If Butch gets good results with oregano oil, passes the info on, and we all do, I remember that. If someone had a bad experience, I would remember that, too, but it hasn't happened (except some hopping and screeching experiences if someone used it " straight " , LOL.) I am > new to toiletries but not to healing and diet. I choose to be humble. > and not judge. Isn't this group here to share? Heck, I'm so humble and trying to hide my age, I won't tell everyone how long I've been studying the healing arts (OK, longer than the list mom has been alive ;-) I thought I was sharing, sorry you focused on the one bit you felt challenged *your* belief system. That said, it won't hold me back from sharing my experiences in the future, and it shouldn't hold you back, either. Hope the OP takes the gentler methods I recommended first, like B vitamins, heck, even the cucumber someone else recommended -- those little cool pads can really help. PS. Hulda Clark, unlicensed naturaopath, *was* judged. And found guilty. one citation: http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/clark.html IMHO, she's in the same league as Gary Young, fake ND, radical methods, etc. Just sharing. http://naturalperfumery.com The premier site on the Web to discover the beauty of Natural Perfume Join to study natural perfumery " The Age of the Foodie is passé. Helichrysum italicuum! A friend discovered this one... she was using heli in rose hip seed oil on a surgical scar...and started dotting the excess under her eyes. She always had very dark circles... and they started fading... of course, be very careful using ANY essential oil near the eyes, and dilute the heli appropriately in the carrier oil of your choice. Guest guest
Aha. Quackwatch. I must admit that I have never gotten up the gumption to do a cleanse. I tried once, and made it till about 2 PM. Me and Food go way back. .... Not to mention that the thought of having to skip my coffee is ground for an instant anxiety attack. But. The idea of cleansing makes total sense. The fact that a healer gets arrested and judged has absolutely no bearing on the merits of her methods. And the organization " QuackWatch " is not exactly an objective bunch of reporters. For the other side, pay a visit to http://www.quackpotwatch.org/ Meanwhile, I will try some Helichrysum on my dark circles! And I hope nobody feels offended at a friendly exchange of differing opinions. Ien in the Kootenays ***************************
