Vanilla Bean Question ** Added: Vanilla Absolute Costs

I can't answer the above .. but I'm sure somebody else can.

 

I am gonna use this post as a spring board to say something I meant to

say when Anya posted on the bottom falling out of the Vanilla crop, but

it slipped my mind .. sorta busy lately fer'shur.

 

Chris also posted on the bottom dropping out of the Vanilla price some

months back .. at that time I told her I seriously doubted that the

major drop in prices would reflect in any future costs for Vanilla

Absolute .. the reason is that this is (like many other Absolute prices)

almost an international commodity market. Its more like a cartel than

an open market .. and to date we have not seen a drop in Vanilla

Absolute prices. That's why I am out of stock now and intend to STAY

out of stock unless there is some adjustment to the pricing .. which I

am not expecting anytime soon. :-(

 

This is more trivia than anything else .. but it might be of value to

those who think they should sit around and wait for Vanilla Absolute

prices to drop. Its possible they will drop .. but I'm willing to give

odds that any reduction in price will be very minor .. it at all.
