Guest guest
Hey Nancy, > Hi Butch, > >>A half dozen Turkish and Russian ladies we know are non-drinkers .. >>yea, I too was shocked to meet a non drinking Russian. ;-) But none >>of them to date have turned down a well diluted Kahlua and soda .. or >>a straight up glass of Bailey's with chocolate chips floating on it. > > Just cleaned out 2 bottle of Kahula I made years ago. Everyone > else liked it, for some reason I was never into Kahlua. Of all the sweet drinks around .. I love Kahlua, Bailey's, Amaretto, and Malibu .. and sorta like most of the Turkish fruit liqueurs. > Bailey's though I can drink a bottle and want another. Yep .. I understand where you're coming from. ;-) > Never thought of the chocolate chips on it. Good it is .. its the typical way its served in bars here. >>Now lemme give y'all a recipe for a drink so larp'in gud that a tee >>totaling Suthran Fried Baptist Preacher Man would probably ask for >>seconds. Maybe I didn't invent it .. but I had never heard of it afore >>I made on for myself. I put around 4 fingers of Kahlua and two fingers >>of soda in a 6 oz shaker, top that off with around two fingers of Creme >>Caramel ice cream .. shake that rascal for 15 seconds or so .. and then >>enjoy. Its finer'n frog hair split three ways .. good enough to make >>you throw your grand pappy in the creek to get another one. ;-) > > This even sounds good. Like Ice Cream drinks. Yep .. me too. I am an ice cream monster .. for many years I would sit down and eat 500 grams at a sitting .. and from the time I retired from the US Army (1 Jan 89) till two years ago I slowly picked up 38 pounds. Two years ago I stopped ice cream and pretty much stopped baklava and started working out. I didn't stop drinking beer though. I was able to lose 35 pounds (and 7 inches from my waist) in that time. I'm still working out .. joined a body building saloon just this week .. but I'm drinking around 25% of what I was drinking prior to getting married .. so I figger I can now afford to have 4-5 ice cream drinks a week without gaining weight. ;-) For you British folks .. here's a testimonial to the quality of your clothing material and tailors. When my pappy died I kept his Moorebrook 100% Cashmere (material from Huddersfeld, England) tailored by Alexandre of Oxford Street in London) top coat. He had this tailor made there following WW II .. around 1945. I had a beer gut when he died and I couldn't wear that coat .. but this winter it fits me like it was tailor made for me .. and its as fine as the day it was made some 60 years ago! Y'all done gud! :-P >>Y'all keep sipping .. aaaahhh.. smiling. ;-) > > Smiles Nancy ;- ) Done and done. :-) Butch
