Guest guest
Hi Butch, >A half dozen Turkish and Russian ladies we know are non-drinkers .. yea, I too was shocked to meet a non drinking Russian. ;-) But none of them to date have turned down a well diluted Kahlua and soda .. or a straight >up glass of Bailey's with chocolate chips floating on it. Just cleaned out 2 bottle of Kahula I made years ago. Everyone else liked it, for some reason I was never into Kahlua. Bailey's though I can drink a bottle and want another. Never thought of the chocolate chips on it. >Now lemme give y'all a recipe for a drink so larp'in gud that a tee totaling Suthran Fried Baptist Preacher Man would probably ask for seconds. Maybe I didn't invent it .. but I had never heard of it afore I made on for myself. I put around 4 fingers of Kahlua and two fingers of soda in a 6 oz shaker, top that off with around two fingers of Creme Caramel ice cream .. shake that rascal for 15 seconds or so .. and then enjoy. Its finer'n frog hair split three ways .. good enough to make >you throw your grand pappy in the creek to get another one. ;-) This even sounds good. Like Ice Cream drinks. >Y'all keep sipping .. aaaahhh.. smiling. ;-) >Butch http://www.AV-AT.com Smiles Nancy ;- )
Guest guest
Hey y'all, Interesting are the recipes on how to make Kahlua and Bailey's Irish Cream .. even more interesting (to me) is the fact that they have a shelf life after opening. The average shelf life of a bottle of either when opened at my house is 30 minutes to an hour .. depends on how many guests are being server .. normally 4 - 6. ;-) > In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until > smooth. Serve over ice if desired. Store tightly in a > covered container in the refrigerator (up to one > month). Stir or shake before serving. A half dozen Turkish and Russian ladies we know are non-drinkers .. yea, I too was shocked to meet a non drinking Russian. ;-) But none of them to date have turned down a well diluted Kahlua and soda .. or a straight up glass of Bailey's with chocolate chips floating on it. Used to buy Turkish Kavaklidere " Yakut " red table wine by the case cause back when I thought I was enjoying life I'd sit around for hours reading and sipping wine and go through two bottles .. but now that I am really enjoying life I practice what I often preach about avoiding oxidation in EO .. I nitrogen flush the bottle after opening cause its rare that one gets polished off in a day unless we have guests. ;-) Now lemme give y'all a recipe for a drink so larp'in gud that a tee totaling Suthran Fried Baptist Preacher Man would probably ask for seconds.
