Guest guest
My X-husband could never remember my birthday, mother's day, valentine's day, or even Christmas when it came to giving a gift. But always remembered holidays important to him, and would not be shy about letting you know what he wanted that particular time. One summer, way after my birthday, he decided that he *needed* to get me something for my birthday. He got off the tractor, drove into town, and came back, going quietly into the garage. That night after dinner he proudly presented me with my *birthday* present. A brand new fishing rod with reel, fishing line, lures, and new tackle box! I was flabbergasted. Yes, I liked fishing, but the old stuff was perfectly good, and didn't need replacing. Next morning the fool gets up, and starts packing the pickup to go to the lake and fish. And he thinks he's taking *MY* brand new fishing pole too. After a few moments of discussion, he left to go spend the weekend at the lake, without me, the kids, the tent and camping stuff, and most definately without my birthday fishing pole. Never would let him use it. I put it in the front yard and pulled some line out. made a tee-pee out of it. Pole for center pole, and the fishing line for the leaning kind of poles, planted morning glories and beans at the ends of the lines, and the kids had a nice pretty tent to play in. Hmmmmm, no wonder he is X. Selene She Who Watches and Waits windancr

As for the rest of the holidays, he never remembers any of them. However, he also forgets his own BD and doesnt ask for anything. > > That night after dinner he proudly presented me with my *birthday* > present. > A brand new fishing rod with reel, fishing line, lures, and new tackle > box! > LOL I got Tilmon a 20 " chainsaw one year for Christmas because I am a tool freak and I wanted one.
