Guest guest
As a daughter I think that is so COOL! My mother's never been best pleased. She told me once that I didn't know what it was like to have a birthday all to myself and then have to SHARE... Nope, I've always shared! LOL! Mom's a typical Scorp, doesn't like to share the spotlight! ROFLMAO! As for the husband, I did the dirty on him. About half an hour after he came home I went running into the kitchen with a happy face and said " Whad you get me for my birthday? Huh? Huh? where's my present " ROFLMAO! You have to feel a LITTLE sorry for him. He DID look guilty! LOL! Then said two things. 1.) It's a surprise! and 2) You didn't warn me! ROFLMAO! You would think after 13/14 years he would have learned! LOL! And I don't blame the kids, the eldest is 11, so it's not really their job to remember. His mother and I share a birthday which in all the years I have known him he only remembered ONCE (but that was because his sister lived with us and she remembered)! BUT I gotta say, he has never raised a hand to me and has always put food on the table (even if I have to get it and prepare it). Butches idea of marriage is right on. You know, romance is nice but it doesnt pay the bills. Like I told Tilmon back when we were first together (and after two husbands who were real d***s who could say " I love you " as they were abusing me....) It doesnt matter if you TELL me you love me, but it is important to SHOW me.... and he does in his own ways. I can live with that. Guest guest
Hope you had a great birthday!! Your special day to celebrate YOU!! My favorite " forget " story is my MOTHER-- she ALWAYS remembers my birthday (I'm the oldest of three), and we go out for lunch together. But one year (about 15 years ago now!! she made the comment that " she was too young to have a 30--(whatever-year-old-it-was-then) daughter " . And I had to tell her the math was off by two years!
