Guest guest
Hey Butch, others interested, Seems b-diketones (a ketone fraction) are quite prevalent in Corsican Heli, especially premature shoots . . . Curcumin is a beta-diketone constituent of the spice turmeric, a distant relative of our beloved heli. The importance has more recently been studied as anti-cancer applications for b-diketones. Don't have a lot of information, but the references below show the importance of diketones in photochemical transformations and further research may possibly lead to medical applications other than the anti-inflammatory and anti-coagulant applications that we revere for bruises and haematomas using H. italicum. Don't think we should dismiss other helis out of hand and we should pay attention to research of the complete range of species. http://organicdivision.org/essays_2000/schroeder.pdf http://tinyurl.com/bffk4 http://tinyurl.com/aq85g Be well, Marcia Elston, Samara Botane, http://www.wingedseed.com/katrina.htm " First of all, cultivate a contented spirit; a garden is a good place to begin.
