Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who has offered suggestions on how to take care of this little dilemma. I tried heating up my already prepared solution to see if any changes would occur. It was very interesting. I started over low heat and nothing happened so I slowly increased the heat. The mixture began to clear when the temp reached just below boiling, and I'm starting to feel success is close by. I guess I waited a bit too long because incredibly quickly the mixture returned to milk. Figuring I must have exceeded some important temperature threshold, I poured in some room temperature distilled water. Zoom, the mixture cleared right up! Viola, so I think. As the mixture cooled completely, it returned to milk. Not just cloudy, but milky white. This is so weird! I haven't wanted to go the alcohol route... will consider it though. Any other suggestions on how to make the PS-20/water/EO combination work all by itself for a clear solution will still be greatly appreciated. I enjoy learning, and have lots of patience Thanks very much, Holly
