Guest guest
Josh- That was an excellent, basic description of the essence production process. I'm planning on buying it to show my New Moon group. > Essences do not smell like much of anything, except the preservative > used (which varies, including brandy, vinegar, or in the case of > Green Hope farms, Shiso extract) Kestrel Crossings essences are usually made with Barenjager, a honey liqueur. The flowers love being preserved with something made from flowers! I wish I could figure out a way to simply use honey, but all my efforts to date have been unsuccessful. Once water is added to the honey, it tends to go bad within a couple of months. > >Rebecca wrote: > > " The way I differentiate between flower essences and essential oils > >is that FE's are a vibrational derivative of the plant they come > >from, whereas EO's are a physical derivative of the plant they come > >from. " This is where some natural healing processes leave the scientific realm and enter the spiritual/soul realm. The scientific theory is that everything has its own distinct, unique vibration. Even my mechanical engineer ex-husband couldn't disagree with that. The way matter presents itself is dependent upon that vibration. Flower Essence practitioners and users believe that through the process of creating an essence, the water used is changed on a vibrational level and a healing elixir is created. This elixir is then processed by diluting it down and combining it with preservative (brandy, vodka, glycerine, vinegar, Red Shiso, Barenjager, etc.) While an EO has some of the plant's vibration still intact, it is far more a physical representation of the original plant material than a flower essence would be. Hope that helps! Green Blessings, Rebecca Jones Kestrel Crossings Concord, NH www.kestrelcrossings.com
