Guest guest
Hi Rebecca, I'm gonna jump right in here as it appears I am taking a crash course this week in Bach Remedies and Essential Oils at this group. Please be explicit and tell me what the follow means: Rebecca wrote: " The way I differentiate between flower essences and essential oils is that FE's are a vibrational derivative of the plant they come from, whereas EO's are a physical derivative of the plant they come from. " Carol No. CA ---------------------- Dorothy- I, too, am a flower essence practitioner, although not from the Bach background. I was trained by a teacher from the Delta Gardens/David Dalton and FES programs. Those companies explore a wider variety than the original 38 essences, and advocate a broader application of the essences. Just a second opinion, one among many! Guest guest
Hi Carol, Perhaps you'll find a brief overview of the manufacturing processes helpful... A common way to make a flower essence: cut blooms into bowl of water until the entire surface is covered... set in the sun for 3 hours... remove flowers, mix with brandy to preserve. The idea is that the energetic " vibration " of the flowers is transferred to the water. If you've seen What The Bleep Do We Know? or are familiar with Dr. Emoto's snowflake experiments, you've been exposed to one theory of how this works. Essences do not smell like much of anything, except the preservative used (which varies, including brandy, vinegar, or in the case of Green Hope farms, Shiso extract) Essential oils are obtained by steam distillation, which separates the volatile oils from the rest of the material used. Each is a broth of aromatic chemicals which can be analyzed and measured with scientific tests. Hope this helps! -Josh >Please be explicit and tell me what the follow means: > >Rebecca wrote: > " The way I differentiate between flower essences and essential oils >is that FE's are a vibrational derivative of the plant they come >from, whereas EO's are a physical derivative of the plant they come >from.
