Hydrosol/Hydrolat

Hi y'all,

Just saw this one .. and can't go afore I give my two cents. ;-p

This LAT and SOL crap is just that .. crap! If I had to bet right now

without having proof to put on the table .. I'd feel real comfortable

betting that Hydrosol is English and Hydrolat is French .. with the same

meaning. And this is probably the source of a lot of questions I get ..

like .. do your Hydrosols have alcohol in them? ;-p

A difference between Hydrosol and Hydrolat would not be in accordance

with tradition or science or the language of those who deal with

production for a living. Somebody wrote me a few minutes ago .. in

reference to another post I made that was countering false claims.

This person wrote ..

> I think that folks that don't know what they're talking about

> make stuff up....

> And there's a lot of stuff about the whole AT thing that isn't

I agree .. if somebody thinks its necessary to be different to be unique

there are a lotta unique .. and wrong .. folks in the industry.

My opinion is that the differences they are trying to highlight are no

more than another means to spout marketing hype.
