It's the water layer afte distilling the oil from plants. I use it in a

sprtz bottle and spray it around in my car and everywhaere. It can be used in

place of water in any mixture. Do you want some lavender hydrosol?

Hi Alex here is some info from my files.

It is originally from Moose Creek.

I use hydrosols (rose, lavender, or chamomile) in ALL high end my lotions

and creams.

Hydrosols and distillates are purified flower or herb waters that occur

during the extraction of essential oils from plants, thus a by-product of

aromatic distillation. Hydrosols have the same uses as their essential oils

and are commonly used alone or in skin and hair care formulas. Compared to

many of the bottled " floral water " sprays and misters which are made by

adding essential oils to water using alcohol or chemicals to mix them,

hydrosols are considerably superior, safer and better for blending.

Hydrosols are also teriffic when used as wetting agents in clay facials. An

anti-bacterial preservative should be used to preserve your products that

contain hydrosols.
