Anybody have some good ideas for Sweet Annie? (How about Sweet Annie

as " herb of the week " ? :) I LOVE Annie-- I've got her growing all

over my garden/yard!! She smells LOVELY-- I enjoy her just growing in

the yard, and this time of year I bring in the harvest and dry some to

use as pot pouri (sp?) and sprinkle on the carpet to freshen, etc.

But I have a LOT of Sweet Annie!! What other uses for Sweet Annie are

there? (If anybody wants some dried bundles-- e-mail me-- I have

PLENTY!! :)

Thanks!

Artemisia annua

I have read that sweet annie was used during WWII as an antimalarial.

I have also read that is used as a anti-parasitic/dewormer.

I do not use it herbally. It is a very potent herb. It can cause dermatitis

and other allergic reactions.

I do however, use the stalks frequently. When stripped of the lateral

branches, they are strong. They have a bamboo type appearance but they keep

their

nice green color. I use them for craft and decorating projects all the time.

I also give them to a friend who says they make some of the best atl atl

darts he's ever made.

The year before last I had a sweet annie stalk that measured 13 and a half

feet after I stripped it down.
