Help - Flea information

Boy are we a chatty group. I went to search the archives for flea info and

I have to get out of here and there were just too many and I couldn't

pinpoint the info and I really have to get out of the house.

 

I didn't pay much attention to info as I don't have critters who can get

fleas. A friend has a cat. When she moved into an apartment, she did the

borax

rug thing. One cat has irritation (from what she described) on less hairy

underparts and will do just about anything to stay off rug. She is moving to

a new place and wants to do preventative for fleas. I know you were all

discussing dia*.* soil or something like that to get rid of fleas. Will this

work as a preventative? And what was the whole name? ;-P And where can it be

bought? She has three cats I believe. Or if this was not the preventative,

what will work? The cats don't have fleas. And will it ward off cockroaches

- mid size ones not palmettos from description. Yes, we live in sunny

Florida where the mahogany bugs as the upper class call them can carry you

away.

 

So if someone could point me in the right direction to help, I would greatly

appreciate it.
