Guest guest
I've been making M & P soap, for family use. But as I'm hoping to get " rid " of the little one for a couple of hours, 3x a week come January, I've been THINKING about actually trying to make lye soap... my question... can I use the same plastic molds that I've used for my Melt and Pour or do I have to use sumpin else? -- Cheers! Guest guest
Hey Kathleen, Great to see you take the soaping plunge! You'll be hooked I'm sure! You prolly can use them, but you can also a milk carton, cardboard box, shoe box, juice container, or just about anything really. You'll be surprised at how you look at items once you've made a batch of soap. lol Good luck and let us know how it goes for you. Margaret > >I've been making M & P soap, for family use. Guest guest
Hey Margaret, Won't be until the Little Boy is out of the house. I just can't risk him being around... So January at the earliest. Will let y'all know though what happens. ;-) K On 9/19/05, Margaret Helm-Duell <naturalindulgences wrote: > > Hey Kathleen, > > Great to see you take the soaping plunge! Guest guest
At the beginning I did use the same molds for melt and pour to make my cp soap. It did not sell and did not sell until I went to a conventional size soap bar. 3 x 2.5 x 1. Then it flew off the shelf. Go figure. Zo > I've been making M & P soap, for family use. Guest guest
Hi Zo, Were the original soaps larger or smaller than the " conventional " bar size that you're using now? Also were they plain molds or fancy molds (like Milky Way Molds for example)? *Smile* Chris (list mom) The Vanilla Bean Blow Out http://www.alittleolfactory.com <http://www.alittleolfactory.com/> Cranberry & Raspberry Seed Oil Sale http://www.aftertherayne.com/vanilla.htm Think left and think right and think low and think high.
