OT: I'm Back

Hey y'all,

 

I wanna thank all the folks who wrote on and off line sending me kind

wishes for my latest vacation .. I have not written to all of those

folks because I have been swamped with work since I returned .. but your

kind wishes were greatly appreciated. :-)

 

I returned a few days ago .. came in from Izmir (Cesme on the Aegean)

with Anna .. my girlfriend who lives Chelyabinsk, Russia .. and her

sister and her husband .. who live in Izmir, Turkey.

 

Had a great time basking in the sun and even tried something I'd always

wanted to do .. windsurfing. I will never be a windsurfer .. nor will

Annuska .. she broke her purty nose the first day in Cesme .. the sail

came back into her face. Not bad .. but enough to go a hospital for

x-rays and bandaging and such .. but she is still a beautiful creature

even with her nose in bandages and a little bruised. ;-)

 

I've been around this list since it kicked off .. and have a few dozen

friends who I commo with off line on a regular basis. They are all nice

folks and many are genuinely concerned about my life .. so I keep them

posted on significant events. Others (from time to time) surprise me by

asking questions similar to those of my friends. So I'll update folks

now and save answering a lotta e-mails that I know will be coming. ;-)

 

I reckon there will be some changes in my lifestyle in the next few

months. Some time back I decided that I needed to settle down. Most

men would love to live the life I live now but its a lot like traveling,

it sounds appealing till you are forced to do it for a long while.

 

Anna left in May to take care of her mother (who has MS) and her

grandmother (who has heart problems) and though she has come back twice

for short vacations .. that was not really enough .. and as we had no

formal agreement on anything I continued to live my life as fully as I

could. She has decided that she is happier with me than without me ..

and is justifiably concerned that she is gonna lose this Redneck soon ..

so she has decided that her first task when she returns home is to make

some form of arrangement for someone to look in on .. and transport to

medical appointments .. her mother and grandmother .. and she will

return to Turkey not later than 15 October. We'll then experiment with

the domestic life and see if being together full time is what we both

want .. if it isn't, there are other alternatives for me .. so .. one

way or the other I reckon I'm gonna wind up being a stay-at-home type

feller again .. after almost 18 years of total freedom. ;-)

 

I told my other lady " friends " that I am gonna play it straight soon,

and though they understand .. its a bit of a surprise for them (and me).

It ain't (most likely) that I am such a great loss from the point of

being a man .. but I am likely a loss from the point of being able to

share a secure life with them in the future.

 

Who knows .. I might even start giving more attention to this list ..

and to confirming orders instead of dumping them on my (efficient) folks

in Maryland .. that would make them smile like Cheshire Cats. ;-)

 

Looks like the list has been pretty busy .. and lots of new folks have

joined up .. Oils & Herbs has 1,113 members as of today .. the fastest

growing list on the Net. Much of this is due to folks referring their

friends to the list cause its really the friendliest .. and most likely

the most informative list on the Net .. and for sure it has the nicest

and one of the most knowledgeable List Mamas to be found anywhere.

Saw a buncha posts on the list that I would like to comment on soon -

but I'm heading out the door in a few minutes to a wedding .. one of my

Russian female friends is marrying a Turkish friend. Oughta be a nice

shindig following the wedding .. Turkish and Russian dancing and lots of

nice things to eat .. and drink. ;-)
