Guest guest
Hi Teresa, I have had cupping done on my back by my accupuncturist. It really hurt when she put them on, and I was left with impressive marks - not really bruises- but when the cups are taken off, it is a great relief, and the aches in my backs were no where near as bad. My only suggestion is to make sure that the area is covered when you go out for a few days, you can get strange looks! Thanks Kathleen for your reply. The wheels were turning so I decided to try it on myself with a regular coffee cup. It did leave a nasty mark, which I expected from my research on the subject. But it did do something for me. It's amazing. Teresea Carson, LMP [Non-

Fire is the lit cotton ball. Manual is when a contraption of sorts is hooked to the cup and the air is sucked out. Yeah, it hurt me too but that's because it was an area that was tender so that is understandable. The marks were startling at first, but then I did know about them. I just didn't know what to expect. In fact, some people even experience bruising. But the marks didn't last too long. My tenderness is nowhere near it was either. I specialize in Emotional Healing Massage and I had a " clearing " in that respect with the cupping as well. If I continue on with cupping, I have decided to use the manual suction method because I will be able to control the amount of suction whereas with the fire method control is rather limited. Thanks for your input. Teresea Carson, LMP
