RE: EO's In Plastic

Ok,

I lied about being off for the weekend *lol* I am jumping in for one

more message ;)

Butch might want to jump in on this one too to give some insight ...

A very reliable way to ship large glass bottles (say 16 fl oz) is to use

the Styrofoam over packs (like Butch uses).

Also available are glass bottles that have a special plastic layer on

the outside of the bottle that helps reduce the chance for breakage (I

know that US Plastic has those available).

Another VERY common way that larger quantities of EO's are shipped

(pounds, kilos, liters) are in lined Spun Aluminum containers.

But I must stress that for the sake of the oils' integrity and

preventing chemical contamination, they really shouldn't be put into

plastic, even for a short period of time - whether it be by the shipper

or the receiver .. :)

*Smile*

Chris (list mom - who is NOW off for the weekend and thanks everyone for

the B-day well wishes :)

I just wanted to thank everyone for their response to my query.

Methinks me better re-consider my large ordr ;) I, personally, would

never by pure eo's that have been stored or shipped in plastic. I have

used other suppliers in the past and they all use glass or aluminum. I

will check out Butch's site and see what wholesale discounts are

available. Thanks again all!

Chris, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Warm regards, Lori
