Guest guest
With cold and flu season right around the corner .... Happy Cleaning! *Smile* Chris (list mom) Don't Miss The Vanilla Bean Blow Out http://www.alittleolfactory.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vinegar of the Four Thieves (Antibacterial Spray) Instead of using commercial disinfectants that are unfortunately adding to the problem of drug resistant " bugs " , make your own natural antibacterial cleaning products. This is the famous Vinegar of The Four Thieves recipe; which is sometimes called Grave Robber's Blend. Use it wherever you would normally use disinfectants. *Note - This recipe is not technically a " disinfectant " as " disinfectants " have to be registered with the EPA as pesticides, but rather a " cleaning solution with anti-bacterial properties " . Place a small handful each of dried Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Rue and Mint in a large jar (I also like to add thyme to this blend), and cover completely with organic apple cider vinegar. You can also add a few drops of the corresponding essential oils if you choose. Cover tightly and let it set for six weeks, shaking the jar occasionally. Strain into a spray bottle. Remember that no home can be made sterile, but you can spray the powerfully antiseptic Vinegar of Four Thieves recipe in areas of concern, such as on cutting boards and door knobs. Always make sure to avoid spraying into eyes.

Guest guest
Hey, Chris, This sounds great! Can you use fresh herbs, or do they have to be dried? (I can see the fresh herbs possibly going bad?) (How about oregano in this?) Thanks, Chris! --Sue , " Christine Ziegler " <chrisziggy@e...> wrote: > > This is the famous Vinegar of The Four Thieves recipe; which is > sometimes called Grave Robber's Blend.
