VCO Infused With Vanilla

Well, I've been doing some vanilla playing, and this afternoon I put

about 40 fl oz of VCO (Virgin Coconut) into my crock pot - added about

50 grams of the Madagascar extract vanilla beans (a little under 2 oz)

that I split and cut into pieces and then put it on low. I turned it off

once and turned it back on again. At the moment it has a NICE vanilla

scent - not extraordinarily strong, but very noticeable. I'm going to

leave it sit all night, probably turning it off right before I hit the

hay and see how it is in the morning.

Just wanted to share my ongoing experiment :)

I know Carrie over at Scent Garden has successfully made a wonderful

vanilla infused Jojoba .. we'll have to try to get her to share her

secret, but at the moment she's in the middle of moving, so we'll have

to wait until she gets a moment to breathe and come up for air .. :-o

Chris, just wondering how this came out. Wonderful I would imagine.
