Thanks to list mom Chris for permission to post this!! This is RJ, from http://www.HerbalSoapsbyRJ.com. My BIL Danny is in liver failure & the only chance he has of survival is if we can raise the money for a liver transplant. When we reach $30,000 (10% of the total amount we need to raise) he will be put on the transplant list. Suzanne (a member of our Soapin' List) & Danny have three sons, Daniel, 16, Andrew, 9 and Joseph, 6. Daniel recently asked his mom,Suzanne, what they would do if Daddy died. Please help us by making a donation, no matter how small. Every dollar is a dollar closer to life for Danny. Below is an article run in the Gilmer County Newspaper, The Times Courier, about a fundraiser in October in Ellijay, Ga. If you are in that area, I hope you can attend! I'll be there for the entire day, and we would love to meet you! Below that is info about The Danny Laukka Liver Transplant Fund which is for direct donations. .. .. >>> Meanwhile, I sure hope Danny is getting lots of Milk Thistle and dandelion. They have been known to work liver miracles. mjh " The Basil Book " http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
Danny was diagnosed with advanced hepatitus C & given 3 weeks to live four years ago. They couldn't give him any treatment, because it it would kill him even quicker. We started him on a an herbal liver and kidney cleanse, brewed green tea for him to drink, and other herbs & vitamins and his liver started functioning fairly well again. After 3 years he started retaining fluid, turning yellow & developed purpura. We started him on additional herbs and mushroom tea and he improved enough to get him to this point. He is a walking miracle!!! But we'd like to keep him even longer! ) RJ ) > >>> Meanwhile, I sure hope Danny is getting lots of Milk Thistle and > dandelion. Guest guest
After all the months of reading these wonderful posts, I've decided to post myself - for a couple of reasons: 1. This particular post really struck me in a soft spot. My sister had spinal fusion requiring a blood transfusion after an accident and within a year was diagnosed with Hep C. She is a single mother of a disabled child and, of course, very special to us. I would appreciate anyone sharing any recipes, thoughts or combination natural treatments that have proven effective. Although I do make soaps and other items, my degree is in psychology and I have 2 Certifications for Complimentary Alternative Medicine - therefore, I use only all natural herbs and oils and only steam pressed or cold distilled - never solvent extracted oils. My herbs are all obtained directly from the farm and are organic. My beeswax I personally go to the bee-farm and choose. I add this information because using herbs and essential oils as complimentary alternative medicine is my privilege and responsibility. I will soon be adding office hours at a well respected local Dr.'s office, but alas, my sister lives 3000 miles from me so any thoughts or treatments I could research and consider are appreciated. Our prayers for Ellijay's peace and comfort. 2. I have read many, many emails on multiple sites regarding Katrina efforts and I must applaud us all. As healers and nurturers we have all come together to help others in need. Although not badly effected here in Florida, I know how much it means to those effected to know that others truly care enough to make personal sacrifices to help. So, thank you, from all of those effected. Our family has made a donation of $1000 to the Red Cross and $500 to the Salvation Army. We know it's not a lot, but we hope we can help someone. In addition, you all set such great examples that we wished that we could afford to donate 100% of all profits but as a new business, we are struggling a bit so we've pledged 70% of the profits from all of our web, email and phone orders to the Red Cross for the next 90 days at minimum. Your emails about giving and pledging are inspirational! Although we've always used what we call " traditional medicine " , we are fairly new to the web world and we ask that you help us help others by visiting our web, sending us and email or giving us a call - every small order adds up to more relief and we want to give as much as we can. Our website is still under construction so thanks to you all for bearing with us. If anyone has any other thoughts on how we can help, please email us offline at main<main or motherearthsapotehcary<motherearthsapotehcary Our hopes for healing go out to all the victims of this natural disaster and those of 9/11. Please consider actively finding a way to help all the victims if you can. Red Cross needs blood donations, especially AB-, cash, pledges for future help and volunteers. Go to www.redcross.org<http://www.redcross.org/> to see how you can help. Thank you. Guest guest
Katherine, School of Natural Healing by Dr. John R. Christopher is where I would recommend you to start. Get a newer edition, as some of the older editions do not have all his formulas in them. I made the formula for liver-gall bladder on page 580 of the 25th anniversay edition. There is also blood purifier & a kidney formulas. I love this book! Best wishes to you & your family! RJ ) > 1. This particular post really struck me in a soft spot.
