Guest guest
< a bit of political commentary snipped by list mom > We have over 400 displaced families here in Newton County and they are in need of hygiene products and desperate for over the counter meds to help with stomach and headaches and they need shoes. When we took the hygiene products to Salvation Army this morning, I asked what they are needing most and this is what they were requesting. And gift certificates to the local stores would be of great help in getting shoes and all as they find out the sizes needed. So tomorrow we will be going to the store again to get as much as we can afford to help. If any of you live around Newton County and wish to donate to help these families, the Salvation Army is located on Washington Street in Covington. I am not sure of their hours, but sure they will be there each day of the week to take donations. At least for a while today they were not taking any clothing because the rooms were stacked high and they were trying to get them distributed. The out pouring of help is wonderful right now, but this will have to be kept up for several more weeks and maybe months in order to help the families that have lost everything. Please let those around you know if you have any displaced families in your community. -- God Bless your life's walk -- Rita...Homeschooling Mom in Georgia May the ~A~ngels up ~A~bove Guide you with Love ~A~ http://www.tlcsoaps.com/soapmaking.htm
