dimmers and crock pots

So... I bought a dimmer, and am experimenting taking the crock pot's

temperature :-)

 

I'm thinking this may not work, though. If the crockpot has an

internal thermostat, it'll take a little power or a lot of power and

just use it until it gets to the temp it wants. :-(

 

Anyone know more about this than I do? :-)

 

You know, a used yogurt maker ain't much more than this dimmer was...
